Divemaster

The PADI Divemaster Course is the first level in PADI professional diver training.
Divemasters are qualified to supervise diving activities for certified divers and assist instructors with training student divers.

The PADI Divemaster course is divided into 3 modules; Knowledge Developent, Waterskills and Stamina, and Practical Application.

COURSE CONTENT

During the PADI Divemaster course you will learn; exemplary diving skills, rescue skills, professional level knowledge of dive theory and dive management and supervision abilities.

The knowledge development module consists of the following 12 topics:
The role and characteristics of a PADI Divemaster
Supervising diving activities for certified divers
Assisting with student divers in training

  • Decompression theory and dive tables
  • Divemaster conducted programmes

Furthering your diving career

During the Waterskills and Stamina module you will develop, to demostratable quality, the 20 basic scuba skills that Open Water Students learn.

The Practical Application module allows you to put into practice the skills that you will typically use as a divemaster, usually during an internship with your instructor.
