The Emergency First Response course is broken down into the Emergency Response Primary Care (CPR) and Emergency First Response Secondary Care (First Aid) courses.
These Primary and Secondary Care courses are based on internationally recognised medical guidelines, and will provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide emergency care for someone in need. Emergency First Response is a PADI affiliate that specialises in teaching these lifesaving skills – and they’re for anyone, not just divers.
The EFR Primary and Secondary Care courses consist of 3 sections; Knowledge Development, Skill Development and Scenario Practice.
The EFR Manual contains all the information you need for both courses. You will complete the knowledge reviews in the manual and develop the skills required with your instructor. The training will take place over 2 days.
Skills you will learn include:
- Scene Assessment
- Rescue Breathing
- Adult CPR
- Shock Management
- Injury Assessment
- Bandaging
Finally, through a series of realistic situations you will put what you have learned into practice and build your confidence as an Emergency First Responder.
